Information on why consider home schooling to get admission for your child.

Why consider home schooling

Parents consider home schooling, for religious reasons, social reasons and academic reasons.

Majority of Christian parents are convinced that their children will be home schooled on order to make them god fearing and better citizens.

When a parent decides to home school they should first make a list as to why they should consider home schooling their child / children, so that they don’t lose focus on what is really important.

They should assess if they are capable and have the basic requirements and resources to home school their children.

Home schooling is mostly considered today by the majority of Christian parents to educate their children. They feel that the current school system is corrupt and as such mar their god fearing children’s minds with meaningless content. Since a child’s mind is easy to influence, theses parents have raised huge concerns about the disadvantages of the school system and the effect it’s having on their children.

However, it’s sad to say that most public school parents are unmoved and less concerned by these corrupt school environments, they don’t see the need to home school their children and uproot them from a structured school environment. But what they don’t  know what the school is really teaching their children.

Another reason home schooling is considered is when your child is having learning difficulties, such as autism. Teachers are not always able to given their class individual attention, and if there is a child with a particular learning difficulty they are not able to give the time to teach a child individually and the child becomes less responsive and may not perform. As a result a parent will be then informed that the school environment may not be the best for their child. However, in the case of autism, home schooling is not always the case, there are specialized institutions.

Home schooling may also be considered by parents of those children suffering from a life threatening disease or incurable diseases. These health conditions make the child unable to attend regular school. When this happens to a child who is very keen on going to school and wants to continue schooling the effects are devastating. As an alternative, parents are compelled to start home schooling their sick child, in most cases until their condition or health improves.

Parents consider home schooling if  their children have behavioral problems. This is often seen in children who have had a traumatic experience, or is going through some changes, parent’s separation/, divorce and death of parent/sibling or close family member. In these cases children are more or less reluctant to attend school due to shame, humiliation and isolation. The parent would have no other alternative but to home school their child until the child is ready to attend regular school.

Finally, a parent may decide to home school their child if they are highly intelligent and genius like. Some schools will give the parent an alternative of moving their child into a higher class in par with his intelligence. Other schools may simply suggest that the child is removed and home schooled as the child is unable to function in a normal setup. These parents often need to have a home tutor to cope with their child’s exceptional ability. A good example of this is the world’s greatest composer Mozart was home schooled by his father, he taught the child music, languages and academic subjects. Mozart at the tender age of 5 was already composing his own music.
