Sir Issac Newton - Who invented the low of Gravitation seeing a falling apple?

In the year 1665, a young man came to his native village Wools Thorpe. One day when he was sitting under an apple tree of his mother's garden an apple fell to the ground. He got astonished and sat under the tree thing. What he thought was why the apple fell towards the ground, without going it upward or any other directions. At last he came to conclusion, that all attract each other by some force. This young man was none else but Issac Newton, who discovered the famous Newton's "Law of Universal Gravitation."

According to his law, every body of this universe attracts every other body with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

Although he is called as the father of Physics and known as one of the greatest scientists, his childhood was very interesting. He was sent to school at the age of 12, but he did not do well there. But he was good at mechanical drawings. This was noted by his uncle and he was sent to Trinity College, Cambridge. At the age of nineteen he got his graduation. He was fortunate to have met Issac Barrow, professor of maths, who gave up his professorship to pave way to Newton to succeed him. Later he became the professor of mathematic in Trinity College at the age of twenty seven.

In 1672 Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in recognition of his mathematic activities.

Newton solved many mysteries of nature. He showed that the sunlight which appears as white consist of seven colors. That is violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. This seven colors can be separated with the help of prism and the mixture of that seven colors produces white light.

Newton gave three 'Laws of Motion', and today we teach it to the student of physics. Further than that, he invented the mathematical method known as 'calculim'. Actually newton gave new dimensions to mathematics and physics. He published two books 'Opticks' and 'Principia'.

In 1689 he was elected a member of Parliament. In 1703 he was elected President of the Royal Society. In 1705 he was knighted by Queen Anne. But in spite of all these honors he remained a modest reserved man.

Every in his old age Sir Issac Newton was involved in discovering new things about heavenly bodies. He died on March 20, 1727. His name stands at the very pinnacle together with the names of Galileo and Einstein.
